ENACTUS NATIONALS: A WHIRLWIND OF INNOVATION AND INSPIRATION!
Having just got back from the ENACTUS Canada National Competition in Toronto, we are here to tell you, that it was incredible! Imagine this: over 70 schools from across Canada, packed into the swanky Intercontinental Hotel, ready to dive headfirst into four incredible days. Student entrepreneurs, leaders, and passionate changemakers were everywhere you looked along with driven faculty and alum working to lift teams up every step of the way. The atmosphere crackled with inspiration! Every conversation we had, and every project we saw, fueled our drive to make a bigger impact back home in our communities.
ROCKSTAR PROJECTS AND STORIES THAT MATTER
At Nationals, we met some real rock stars. These weren't just students with cool ideas, they were driven by a powerful desire to make a difference. Square Roots from Enactus St. Clair in Halifax is tackling a huge issue, food insecurity and waste. They're rescuing perfectly good food and getting it to people who need it most. Now that's what we call a win-win! Ennovate at the University of British Columbia (UBC) Enactus chapter is all about empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs. They're equipping high school students with the business skills they need to thrive. They are truly mentoring the next generation of trail-blazing Enactus leaders.
SHARING OUR ST. LAWRENCE COLLEGE ENACTUS STORY
We also had the chance to showcase two of our own projects we're passionate about. Repair Together and Switchboard. Repair Together bridges the digital divide in our community by giving pre-loved devices a second chance. They refurbish old electronics and distribute them to people in need through our local partnerships, helping to close the gap. It's good for the environment and great for our community. You can learn more about Repair Together here. Switchboard is all about giving Kingston's entrepreneurs a boost. We connect them with the resources they need to succeed, from mentorships to funding, empowering entrepreneurs at any stage of their business journey.
THE POWER OF COLLABORATION
Nationals wasn't just a competition, it was a celebration of what happens when passionate people come together and find problems and turn them into solutions. We left Toronto feeling inspired, motivated, and with a sweet runner-up trophy! But the real win is the positive change we're making in our communities and the connections we built with other Enactus chapters across Canada.
