Welcome to The Chill Zone, your very own breath of fresh air in a world of chaos.

In collaboration with the Innovation Hub and a grant from The Co-Operators, we at Enactus SLC have put together a one-stop guide to increasing mental health and fostering self-care within youth.

Our event guide was created to guide participants through creating and executing their own mental health event step-by-step. It takes all the guesswork out of the process of changing an idea into an action. The membe.png

Created first as an event for the St. Lawrence College community, The Chill Zone was a safe space for students to destress, relax and participate in self-care activities including RMT Massages, Yoga, DIY activities, and easy access to counsellor services.

By facilitating an environment for the school community to open up about mental health, self-care, and wellness, the goal of the Chill Zone was achieved in helping to de-stigmatize the way mental health is viewed.

Overall, the first Chill Zone event was a success in empowering youth to talk openly about their mental health and encouraging them to not only reach out for help, but introduced skills and activities that can be used to help when they feel their mental health may be decreasing

At this event, we directly impacted 60 youth and with such a positive reaction from students , another event is being planned for the future as well as collaborations with the St. Lawrence College’s SNAP night.

THE CHILL ZONE EVENT GUIDE

The Chill Zone guidebook was created as a helpful resource guide and tool for anyone to create their very own Chill Zone event at schools, agencies, work places, etc.

It takes all the guesswork out of the process of changing an idea into an action. Simply work through the guide, picking whatever options work best for your unique situation, and create your very own breath of fresh air.
