About the role:
Enactus St. Lawrence College’s Manage Your Money project empowers individuals in the Cornwall community to take control of their finances and build a secure financial future. As Team Lead, you will guide and inspire a team of dedicated volunteers in delivering impactful financial literacy workshops and resources. You will play a key role in developing and implementing project strategies, ensuring alignment with Enactus SLC's mission and values.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Oversee all aspects of the Manage Your Money project, providing direction and support to team members.
Curriculum Development: Lead the development and refinement of engaging and informative financial literacy curriculum for workshops and resources.
Workshop Facilitation: Deliver workshops to community members, sharing practical financial knowledge and skills.
Team Management: Guide and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Delegate tasks effectively and provide constructive feedback.
Community Outreach: Build relationships with community partners and identify opportunities to expand the project's reach.
Project Reporting: Track project progress, collect data, and prepare reports on project impact and outcomes.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other Enactus SLC project teams and leadership to share best practices and resources.
Administrative Tasks: Manage project logistics, including scheduling workshops, securing venues, and tracking materials.
Qualifications:
Passion for Financial Literacy: A genuine interest in empowering individuals through financial education.
Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and inspire a team, delegate effectively, and foster a positive team environment.
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills: Confident and engaging communicator, capable of delivering presentations and facilitating workshops effectively.
Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of Personal Finance Principles: Solid understanding of key financial concepts, including budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management.
Experience in Community Outreach (preferred): Prior experience working with community organizations or delivering educational programs is a plus.
