Pam is an educator and entrepreneur who combines social responsibility, ethics and business for the betterment of learners and the community.
Pam grew up in Kingston, graduated with a Fashion and Merchandising diploma from St. Lawrence/Senca College and went on to bootstrapped an international business designing and manufacturing logoed textiles products for the uniform, corporate promotional and entertainment markets. With her business partner, Julie McDowell, she was a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year.
Upon moving back to Kingston Pam began working at St. Lawrence College in the School of Business and she earned her MBA from Queen’s and certificate in Adult Education from Brock. In 2008 Pam helped students begin a chapter of Enactus St. Lawrence College. This team creates and delivers projects that reduce hunger, promote entrepreneurship, financial literacy and environmental sustainability. The team has created real value in the community as students learn with a safety net called team. In addition to countless awards, in 2015, the team was ranked among the top four Enactus teams in Canada. Pam recently won the John Dobson Fellowship Faculty Advisor of the Year the Award, the award of Merit at St. Lawrence College and she was featured in Kingston Life in a salute to teachers that inspire.
Pam is on the Board of Directors at the Partner’s In Mission Food Bank. She lives with her family of five on Howe Island where she enjoys being active, drinking scotch and eating popcorn.
